Structural Engineer : Life Sciences - Cary, North Carolina Req 33029

They are seeking a driven Structural Engineering Professional to join their Life Sciences team in Cary, NC, working on a variety of projects related to Pharmaceutical clients, including new builds and retrofits.
Responsibilities
Performing various aspects of structural engineering assignments
Contributing to, working with a diverse team of engineers and designers on various size capital projects
Liaising with other internal professionals and design departments for project delivery
Coordinating designs with other Jacobs offices both domestic and international
Perform calculations for member designs and foundations
Material take-offs for estimating
Preparation of miscellaneous calculations
Assisting with schedules
Producing and assembling construction drawing packages, including specifications
Performing construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, preparing field observation reports, and punchlisting
Balancing multiple priorities; coordinating work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants; independently as well as collaboratively
Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills – speaking, writing, listening
Proficiency in 3-D Engineering Design / modeling, and Engineering software (Revit, RAM, STAAD)
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree from an accredited engineering school
Minimum of 5 years of applicable professional experience
Knowledge and experience in the design process, construction documentation, construction administration, materials and methods of construction, and model building codes
Understanding of structural engineering design (including wind, seismic, thermal, and vibration analyses) and its interrelationship with other disciplines – particularly architecture and civil engineering
Able to perform calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc
Able to produce and assemble construction drawing packages, including specifications
Experience performing construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, preparing field observation reports, and punchlisting
Willingness to work remotely and engage virtually with team members in different geographic locations
Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities; coordinating work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants; independently as well as collaboratively
Strong interpersonal skills – speaking, writing, listening
Proficiency in 3-D Engineering Design / modeling, and Engineering software (Revit, RAM, STAAD)
United States Citizen
Preferred
Professional Engineering license in Structural Engineering preferred
Masters degree from an accredited engineering school is preferred
SE license preferred
Focus on Life Sciences projects including but not limited to Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Light Industrial, and Light Chemical preferred
