They are seeking multiple Staff Accountants to join their accounting team in St. Paul, MN, focusing on either Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable, with responsibilities including generating invoices, processing vendor payments, and assisting with month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

Generate and distribute a high volume of customer invoices accurately and on time
Record and post customer payments
Follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email
Manage credit holds and maintain customer account details, including credit checks and limit monitoring
Review, code, and process vendor invoices promptly, ensuring proper approvals
Collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams for accurate 3-way matching of POs, receipts, and invoices
Prepare and schedule vendor payments (check, ACH, wire)
Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies
Drive efficiency through automation tools and process improvements
Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations working on fixed assets, prepaids and accruals
Prepare daily bank reconciliations
Support audits and tax preparation with documentation and responses
Participate in inventory updates and reconciliations
Contribute to special projects and identify process improvement opportunities

Required

Previous experience in AR, AP, or general accounting (high-volume processing a plus) in a business-to-business environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively and efficiently
A problem-solver with a customer-focused approach and integrity in all financial activities

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
Experience in a multiplant industrial manufacturing environment
