Responsibilities
Coordinates and assists manager/ supervisor with daily operations of specialty team
Contributes to the maintenance of high quality, cost effective patient care by communicating with scheduling, physicians and team members regarding upcoming procedures
Provides clinical leadership by directing, coordinating and delegating patient care in an organized manner, allowing for flexibility and growth of team members
Acts as an interdepartmental liaison promoting effective team work
Evaluates and coaches team members relative to job performance to achieve a high level of productivity and quality care
Provides input regarding team members performance to supervisors/ managers
Acts as a liaison between physicians and sales representatives to ensure hospital and department policy is followed
Actively participates in value analysis. Acts as a mentor and resource to educate team members and physicians on the concepts and philosophies of value purchasing
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
Three years of operating room experience
Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
