Responsibilities

Lead and manage the design and delivery of water and wastewater pipeline projects, encompassing feasibility studies, preliminary and final design, as well as construction support
Develop alignments, perform hydraulic calculations, and prepare detailed design drawings and specifications for water, sewer, and recycled water pipelines
Act as a technical point of contact for clients, attend meetings and support business development activities
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams that include civil, structural, environmental, and construction management professionals
Ensure that all deliverables meet Arcadis’ quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements
Identify opportunities for process improvements, value engineering, and the integration of digital solutions such as BIM, GIS, and hydraulic modeling tools

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or related discipline)
6-12 years of relevant experience in the design and delivery of water and/or wastewater pipeline projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain within 6 months
Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., InfoWater, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS)
Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills
Proven experience coordinating with public agencies, utilities, and permitting authorities

Preferred

Master's degree in civil or mechanical engineering
Experience with trenchless technologies, condition assessment, and rehabilitation of pipelines
Experience supporting or leading construction administration
Background in sustainability, climate resilience, and integrating digital tools (e.g., BIM 360, ArcGIS)
Active involvement in professional organizations (e.g., ASCE, AWWA, WEF)
