MAC Tier 2 Engineer

Responsibilities

Provide Tier II desk-side and remote support for macOS users, resolving complex hardware and software issues
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, application compatibility, and network connectivity
Support classified and unclassified environments, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards
Assist with the configuration, imaging, and deployment of Mac desktops and laptops
Maintain and support enterprise Mac management tools (e.g., Jamf Pro) for patch management and configuration control
Apply security patches and updates in accordance with DISA STIGs and cybersecurity policies
Work with Tier III engineers to test and validate new macOS releases and enterprise configurations
Support the development and deployment of standard desktop and server Mac core images
Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure interoperability and service continuity
Maintain and update SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and knowledge base articles
Provide input to Tier I support staff and assist with training and mentoring
Ensure documentation is stored in the designated Knowledge Management (KM) system
Implement and maintain security configurations to meet DoD cybersecurity requirements
Support vulnerability remediation and compliance reporting
Participate in audits and inspections as needed

Required

Active DoD Secret clearance
Two years of specialized experience in Apple Mac engineering/development
Four years of experience supporting Apple Mac computers
Proficiency with Apple hardware, macOS, and enterprise management tools (e.g., Jamf Pro)
Strong understanding of DoD IT security requirements and compliance frameworks
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-security, mission-critical environment
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred

TS/SCI clearance preferred
Apple-specific certifications may be substituted for up to one year of engineering/development experience
Apple-specific certifications may be substituted for up to two years of support experience
