In this role, you will perform comprehensive electrical engineering studies and engage in hands-on activities with engineering and field service teams, contributing to real-world projects while gaining practical experience.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short-circuits, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies for domestic and international projects
Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies. Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls
Occasionally work with the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects
Interact with customers to gather critical information, review engineering plans, and maintain professional relationships
Be hands-on with the engineering and field service group

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our field technicians
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods, and effectively communicate directly to customers and co-workers

Preferred

Prefer candidates with an educational focus in Power Systems studies
Experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower, or other power system modeling software is a plus
Knowledge or high level understanding of performing protective relay projects, short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is a plus
Utility design experience is a plus
