Senior LevelThe City of Dunn is seeking a professional, resourceful leader with strong communication skills to supervise the City’s Water and Sewer Division. This role involves overseeing infrastructure repair and maintenance, managing programs related to backflow and cross-connection, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities
Supervise the City’s Water and Sewer Division
Perform technical and administrative work associated with the repair, replacement, and construction of City owned water and sewer infrastructure
Plan and supervise the backflow/cross-connection program and FOG program
Plan work projects based on service extensions, maintenance and emergency need
Coordinate work with property owner(s)
Assign crews to projects
Inspect work and answer and resolve public complaints
Request and acquire the necessary resources for projects
Responsible for crew efficiency, quality and safety
Serve as the operator in responsible charge for the distribution system, collection system, and backflow/cross-connection program
Supervise subordinate employees
Interpret and prepare complex, detailed records and reports
Maintain effective working relationships with City officials, employees, contractors, and the general public
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Science or related area
supervisory experience in water distribution and/or sewer collection system maintenance and construction
equivalent combination of education and experience
Grade II Collections Certification
A-Distribution Certification
Backflow/Cross-Connection ORC Certifications
valid NC Driver License (Class B CDL)
