LABORATORY ASSISTANT II

The role involves performing laboratory specimen registrations, monitoring error logs, managing patient charges, and providing support to customer service and reference departments.

Responsibilities
Performs registration in IDX for laboratory drop-off specimens
Monitors Ancillary Error Log - makes corrections in Health Quest, IDX or Lab Systems when required
Adds patient charges to Health Quest for miscellaneous test requests. Merges patient accounts in Sunquest
Add/deletes/modifies charges in Health Quest when requested by QA Manager and Admin Director
Provides support to Customer Service and Reference departments
Qualification
Required
5 years previous Laboratory Assistant experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred
Customer service or specimen processing experience in a medical setting or laboratory
