Associate Attorney – Litigation
Responsibilities
Manage litigation deadlines efficiently and proactively
Draft, review, and revise pleadings including complaints, motions, and discovery requests
Prepare discovery and responses well in advance of deadlines
Attend and represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal staff
Maintain a minimum of 155 billable hours per month (1,860 annually)
Perform legal research and analysis to support case preparation
Collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve department goals
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Georgia or Tennessee
0–4 years of litigation experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong self-management, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
Licenses in Alabama and/or Mississippi are a plus
Preferably in real estate or civil litigation
