Personal Representative – School Professionals, New York City
The TemPositions Group of Companies is a leading provider of Substitute Teachers and Teacher Assistants in the New York Tri-State area. The Personal Representative will be responsible for recruiting, supporting, and managing the substitute teaching workforce, ensuring classrooms are staffed with qualified educators.
Responsibilities
Conduct high-volume screening and interviews to identify top candidates for substitute teaching roles
Use sound judgment to match and place qualified educators in open assignments—quickly and effectively
Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records in our internal systems
Communicate regularly with field employees via phone and email—checking in, answering questions, and resolving any concerns
Guide educators through our policies and procedures, providing coaching and support when needed
Make employment decisions—including terminations—with autonomy and discretion
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new ideas for recruiting high-quality educational staff
Draft and send clear, timely reminder messages and updates to field employees
Support other core business functions, including Onboarding, Compliance, Recruitment, and Client Relations as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or higher in any field of study
Previous experience in a similar field, including but not limited to Customer Service, Staffing, Recruitment, or Education
Experience in initiating conversation by phone and email, including first contact, in a high-volume setting
Proven ability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and excel in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow up effectively
