Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness
Utilize engineering principles from aerospace and mechanical engineering to solve complex manufacturing challenges
Conduct research and analysis to support the development of new manufacturing technologies and techniques
Participate in the creation and implementation of process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to ensure smooth production operations
Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
Support the implementation of safety and quality standards in the manufacturing environment
Travel: 25% Suppliers (US and International) and other L3 Harris locations

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering (large equipment) experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering (large equipment) experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering experience

Preferred

Extensive experience with PLC Controls, Autoclaves and Ovens is preferred
Experience with transition product lines in aerospace defense environment
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia or NX) and other engineering tools is preferred
Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) is preferred
Experience standing up new factory and Product Lines is preferred
