Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability
Build robust data integration solutions to streamline data flows across varied systems and databases
Continuously optimize data workflows to enhance automation, performance, and maintainability
Create end-to-end data solutions using modern technologies, including scripting languages, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms
Ensure all data environments meet quality, security, and compliance standards
Monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows, proactively resolving issues to minimize disruptions
Provide documentation, training, and ongoing technical support to users of data automation systems
Prepare detailed technical documentation such as design specifications, solution architecture, and operating procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure, etc.)
Strong knowledge of data automation technologies such as Python, SQL, ETL/ELT frameworks, Kafka, APIs, and cloud data pipelines
Experience with GCP BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow
Familiarity with iPaaS platforms such as Boomi or SAP BTP
Strong understanding of database design principles including normalization, indexing, partitioning, and performance optimization
Ability to design scalable database schemas for both analytical and transactional workloads
Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, MicroStrategy, or similar
Experience with data modeling tools
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Clarizen)
Understanding of DevOps practices for data, including CI/CD pipelines
Strong skills in data management, data quality, and data governance
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively across multiple projects
Able to work independently and within a team environment
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies
Strong business acumen and critical thinking
Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred

Experience with IBM DataStage or Alteryx is a plus
