Responsibilities

Analyze sales and attendance trends by origin, sales channel and product mix. Use this along with macro-economic variables, business intelligence and other inputs to action frequent admission price changes that drive incremental revenue lift. Understand and provide feedback on models and tools to help in continuous improvement. This requires maintaining advanced Excel models and translating data into actionable insights
Developing innovative pricing initiatives (e.g. volume-tiered, variable pricing) and evaluating their success (e.g. sensitivity, break-even, volume analysis) to drive revenue and margin growth. This includes analyzing the financial feasibility of proposed promotional offers and present clear business cases to executive leadership
Conduct postmortem analysis to evaluate effectiveness and profitability of pricing initiatives and promotional offers. Make recommendations for adjustments to strategies
Partner in development and deployment of tests to identify pricing strategies which maximize profitability. Leverage these results along with other analytics in pricing recommendations
Collaborate with Marketing & Sales, Finance, Global Pricing & Analytics and other partners across the organization to gather and provide feedback on how pricing decisions will impact the business and to execute key business initiatives
Ad hoc data querying, modeling and analysis as required
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field
3-5 years of progressive experience within pricing, finance, or analytics
Must be willing to work in the Universal City offices on a hybrid basis
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Preferred

Experience with Domo, Tableau, Microstrategy, PowerBI, R, Python, or VBA a plus
