Responsibilities

Support monthly and quarterly closing processes (e.g., analyze departmental expenses, calculate required accruals, create journal entries, and take lead to ensure all expenses are captured and stated properly)

Assist in monthly forecasting and managing operational expenses in partnership with the leadership team

Assist in the preparation of annual budget, estimates, and long-range plan

Assist with internal management reporting – P&L, Close Package, Headcount

Resolve vendor setup and payment issues – act as liaison with Accounts Payable team

Track spending against budget and partner with the various operators to ensure spending remains within approved limits

Own the processes for 3rd party revenue share, distribution expense, programming expense and amortization schedules

Ad hoc variance analysis and projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field - or equivalent work experience

2+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting

Proficient in Microsoft Office and a Windows environment, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred

Prior experience in digital media/media/entertainment industry

Demonstrated system aptitude and knowledge of financial reporting software a plus (SAP & BPC)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-starter: can work independently and take initiative in challenging situations

Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively, and proactively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines
