The role involves making general repairs to buildings and systems, troubleshooting maintenance issues, and ensuring the upkeep of university facilities.

Responsibilities
Makes general repairs to buildings, interiors, exteriors, furniture, fixtures, air conditioning/heating systems and other mechanical and related fields such as plumbing, carpentry and electrical
Troubleshoot and make repairs for maintenance issues with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
Replace ceiling tiles throughout buildings as needed
Perform maintenance and inspections on university vehicles as needed
Replace bulbs and ballasts as needed
Grease hot and chilled water pumps
Assist with key control and door locks
Organize and update maintenance books
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses
