Executive Director Early Learning
Corps Team is a respected early learning center located in Atlanta, seeking an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership and oversee all aspects of the center’s operations. The role involves leading staff, guiding curriculum implementation, managing enrollment and finances, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while driving continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily classroom operations and curriculum implementation
Support teachers, monitor child progress, and maintain assessments and documentation
Ensure classroom schedules, routines, and learning environments meet program standards
Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise teaching and support staff
Manage schedules, maintain ratios, and provide coaching and professional development
Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture
Ensure compliance with Georgia DECAL licensing regulations
Maintain accurate records for children, staff, attendance, and incidents
Conduct regular health, safety, and facility inspections
Build strong relationships with families through communication and visibility
Handle parent questions, concerns, and conferences
Support transitions between classrooms and promote an inclusive environment
Oversee enrollment, admissions, billing, budgeting, payroll, and purchasing
Maintain policies, procedures, handbooks, and operational standards
Ensure adherence to food safety, allergy, and sanitation protocols
Respond to emergencies, injuries, and illnesses; lead drills and staff training
Build partnerships with schools, agencies, and community organizations
Represent the center at events and maintain relationships with regulators and inspectors
Complete and maintain GA Director training and staff credentialing
Ensure readiness for inspections and compliance with ratios, group sizes, and safety standards
Lead annual licensing renewal processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or related field
3–5+ years of leadership experience in early childhood, childcare, or nonprofit management
Knowledge of Georgia DECAL licensing rules and early learning best practices
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) and successful background check required
