Responsibilities
Work on Python based applications/services within an event driven architecture
Responsible for creating and supporting services that support the podcast pipeline
Collaborate with downstream teams to confirm delivery of show and episode data
Take ownership of new and existing features/services
Participate in the on-call rotation that helps with any after-hours / overnight support issues
Qualification
Required
Experience with Python, Celery, and FastAPI
Experience with Postgres or other SQL Databases
Experience with message brokers or event streaming such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
Experience with Redis or Elasticache
Strong written/verbal communication skills and able to take feedback from others
Must be able to operate during CST working hours
Comfortable with Agile development processes, Jira
Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return
Experience with various technical disciplines and applications
Close attention to detail, following up until issues are resolved
Ability to multitask on a variety of critical projects
Ability to work independently, while also collaborating with others
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate moderately complex technical information within the team
Skills to recognize and solve frequently occurring problems
Analytical thinking
Resourcefulness and independent judgement
Preferred
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Background and/or experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Familiar with monitoring software such as New Relic, Cloudwatch, or Grafana
