Sales Manager
Specialty Appliances Orthodontic Laboratory is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead their sales team in a dynamic dental laboratory environment. The role focuses on developing sales strategies, managing a high-performing team, and ensuring exceptional client experiences while driving new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Work with Head of Sales to develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue goals and expand market presence with our dental laboratories
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with dental offices, DSOs, and specialists
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and industry partners
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform sales strategies and product positioning
Train and develop a high-performing team of dental laboratory sales representatives
Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and territory goals for each team member
Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to help reps succeed and grow professionally
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, ride-alongs, and field visits to support team performance
Monitor and evaluate sales metrics to ensure accountability and consistent achievement of targets
Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and excellence within the sales department
Lead weekly dental lab sales meetings and coordinate cross-department communication to align sales efforts with operations and customer service teams
Ensure the sales team delivers outstanding customer service and maintains strong client satisfaction levels
Collaborate closely with production, logistics, and customer service departments to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
Handle key account management for major clients and strategic partnerships
Represent our dental lab division at trade shows, professional meetings, and industry events to promote brand visibility and generate new leads
Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews to senior leadership
Track team progress using CRM tools and ensure accurate data entry and pipeline management
Identify underperforming areas and develop targeted action plans for improvement
Qualification
Required
7+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a management role—preferably within the dental or dental lab industry
Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to achieve measurable success
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in CRM systems, sales reporting, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strategic thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as needed, approximately 50% of the time
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Strong understanding of dental laboratory products, digital workflows, and restorative solutions
