Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical components within the manufacturing facility, including:
Three-phase power distribution (e.g., 480V systems, feeders, subpanels)
Industrial lighting (e.g., 208V/480V) and production equipment
Switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and grounding systems
Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
Ensure all facility work strictly adheres to the latest National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Austin AHJ commercial regulations
Expertly install and bend various types of conduit (EMT, Rigid, O-CAL), pull wire, and terminate connections for new equipment installations and upgrades
Serve as the primary on-site expert for urgent electrical issues within the manufacturing facility
Provide high-level technical support, diagnosis, and repair for complex field failures involving Base's residential battery backup systems
Support installer crews by performing quality control checks and performing necessary reworks to ensure all residential installations pass inspection
Assist with the technical training and mentorship of new installation crews on NEC code and best practices specific to residential battery system integration
Qualification
Required
Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License is required
6+ years of hands-on experience, with a heavy emphasis on commercial, industrial, or manufacturing electrical maintenance and installation
Strong working knowledge of three-phase power, control circuits, and motor controls
Deep, practical understanding of the NEC as applied to both commercial/industrial and residential (e.g., energy storage) environments
Ability to work on-site at our downtown Austin manufacturing location
Preferred
Experience with PLCs or industrial automation
