Responsibilities
Design, architect and implement the front-end experience for our eCommerce and sales tool applications in collaboration with product management and designers
Follow best practices for testing front-end applications, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing
Review code to ensure technical implementation meets functional requirements
Ship code that has a massive impact on the growth of Toast and its customers
Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience building and scaling frontend ecommerce applications
Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript and related front end tools
Strong understanding of eCommerce specific challenges such as pricing, promotions, product bundling, checkout optimizations and user personalization
Experience with testing frameworks, writing unit and integration tests and believing in automation to maintain software quality
Know how to prioritize technical requirements and design needs
Growth mindset with an emphasis on learning and self/team-improvement
Passionate about the restaurant industry
Enjoy working in a team environment with a shared code-base
