The Production Engineer will support the development and operations of the New Glenn launch vehicle, focusing on the design, development, and testing of various spaceflight systems while ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair structural and mechanical systems hardware

Interpret engineering models, drawings, specification, work instructions and test procedures to support non conformance review assessments

Support integration activities, such as identifying available work and resolving roadblocks for integration tasks

Use 3D CAD programs and FEA tools to analyze pressurized systems and primary/secondary structures

Release, and support of engineering artifacts across the product life cycle to support hardware fabrication, assembly, verification, test and operations

Implements’ operating procedures, resolves system malfunctions, and provides technical information

Researches and analyzes customer production proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications

Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications

Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew

Required

B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar engineering field

5+ years of professional experience supporting production and integration of mechanical system elements within aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar industry

Proven success supporting review assessments and analysis for non conformances

Experience with production support

Proficiency with 3D modeling tools

Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)

Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control relative to mechanical and structural hardware

Experience and ability to work independently on rapid development programs

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
