Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of advanced robotics algorithms for autonomous maintenance tasks
Integrate hardware, software, and firmware into cohesive smart maintenance systems
Prototype, test, and iterate on robotic systems and end effectors to optimize performance and reliability
Conduct system-level testing and validation, including regression and unit testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system specifications and resolve complex technical challenges
Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., DOE, statistical process control) to drive design improvements
Create detailed technical documentation, including schematics, CAD models, and test reports
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel
Research and apply emerging technologies in robotics, computer vision, and machine learning

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Systems Engineering, or a related field
15+ years of relevant experience; or 12 years with a Master's degree; or 8 years with a PhD
Strong background in robotics, automation, and algorithm development
Proficiency in Python, SQL, OpenCV, and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience with MCAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks)
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
Ability to work onsite in a robotics lab environment and lead cross-functional initiatives
