Program Assistant, Fellowship Affairs

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is one of the country’s largest foreign policy think tanks, aiming to advance the discussion of American foreign policy and international affairs. The Program Assistant will support the Fellowship Affairs team in various administrative tasks and event logistics, contributing to the effective operation of the Fellowship Program.

Responsibilities

Assist with event logistics for information sessions, receptions, and selection committee meetings, helping to prepare materials for distribution, and providing other logistical support
Provide administrative support to the Fellowship Affairs team
Assist with preparing vouchers for reimbursement
Assist with the processing of fellowship applications
Assist with updating the Fellowship Program’s website
Monitor the email and phone line for the Fellowship Program, including serving as the initial point of contact for applicants, and managing the application process
Maintain fellowship contact database, including updating contact information
Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required

Required

Bachelor of Arts in International Relations or a related field with high academic credentials
One or more year(s) of related experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Outstanding professional judgment and demeanor
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment, both individually and as part of a team
Excellent computer and database management skills
