Principal Clinical Program Administrator

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Principal Clinical Program Administrator to oversee business operations within the Psychiatry Section of Perinatal, Reproductive, and Early Childhood. This role involves managing clinical operations, strategy, research operations, and finances, while collaborating with medical and executive directors to ensure compliance and optimize program support.

Responsibilities

Manage administrative day to day operations, such as supply ordering, office space management, and coordinating with facilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with university, state, and federal regulations
Lead faculty appointment processes, recruitment, and onboarding, serving as a subject matter expert on institutional policies and best practices
Establish marketing and branding that maintain CU and CHCO standards while driving community engagement
Facilitate and guide high-level meeting coordination, including agenda development and strategic documentation for service line and leadership forums
Drive and manage workflow process improvement initiatives across the section, applying advanced project management methodologies to optimize efficiency
Provide oversight of program and grant budgets, including forecasting, financial analysis, and recommendations for funding adjustments
Ensure fiscal integrity by interpreting and applying university financial policies and compliance standards
Lead procurement, including purchasing, invoicing, and expense reconciliation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to regulations
Partner with Section Manager and Division Administrators to set direction for billing optimization, productivity, and revenue cycle performance
Design and implement processes to streamline clinical workflows, leveraging specialized knowledge of operational best practices
Provide high-level supervision of clinical operations and productivity in section settings, setting strategy for accomplishment of necessary operational and workflow changes
Serve as the data authority, leveraging EPIC, Power BI, MyBI, and Redcap to inform strategic decisions on productivity, growth, and operational transformation
Aid in development and implementation of processes for data collection, governance, and continuous improvement across the section, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights
Translate complex data and make recommendations for leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in related fields (e.g., business, health care, administration, social science or similar)
3+ years of experience in health care administration or similar field
1+ years of experience with financial management (budgeting, managing clinical financials, managing grant expenditures, or similar)
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

Preferred

MA/MS/MPH/MBA/MHA or equivalent in organizational leadership, health care or project management, public health, or related fields
1+ years of experience in academic medical center settings
Project management, process improvement and quality assurance/improvement experience highly preferred
Proficiency in clinical operations
Proficiency with CU programs (Smartsheet, REDCap, EPIC, MyBI, AX, CU Marketplace, Concur Travel & Expense, HCM, PeopleSoft Finance, Axiom) and MS Office or similar programs
