Responsibilities
Assisting in CTE classrooms as needed
Assists teachers with preparing materials for lessons
Ensures all necessary supplies and equipment are available and used properly by students
Participates in test administration
Maintains individual student folders and student record
Administers scores and records results of tests
Collects data on student performance and types correspondence reporting student progress or problems
Demonstrate passion for working with students, especially in one on one and small group situations
Focus on literacy, math, and library services
Effectively prioritize tasks as assigned by teachers and school leaders
Ensure safety of students on caseload
Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
Qualification
Required
Must have one of the following: Associate's Degree, 60 completed college credits, Proof of passing the ETS Paraprofessional Exam
Preferred
Previous experience working with students in small group and RTI settings
Understanding of how to read and understand a student's IEP
Desire to become a certified teacher long term
