Feed Ingredient Trader

One Degree Agriculture is seeking a remote-based Co-Product & Ingredient Trader to expand their presence in key livestock markets. This role focuses on trading various feed co-products and developing relationships with suppliers and end-users to drive regional growth.

Responsibilities

Individually trade your co-product book (cottonseed, cotton hulls, cotton meal, DDGs, corn gluten feed/meal, wheat midds, rice bran, etc.)
Ideal candidate brings book of business in livestock-dense regions including Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida
Develop relationships new with feed mills, livestock yards, and suppliers
Identify niche opportunities and underserved markets for volume and margin growth
Negotiate freight, logistics, pricing, and contract terms
Monitor regional supply, crop conditions, and transportation markets
Operate independently with an entrepreneurial, margin-focused mindset

Required

Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Economics, Animal Science, or related field
5+ years of experience trading feed ingredients or co-products
Relationships with feed mills or livestock operations in key regions
Strong negotiation ability and understanding of feed-market fundamentals
Ability to build and maintain a book of business with limited oversight
Excellent communication and commercial relationship-building skills
