Responsibilities
Planning and executing for success; meeting & exceeding revenue objectives
Identify and engage new clients for application development and services, building strong relationships and expanding business opportunities
Oversee all projects and project managers related to application and development services, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with business goals
Own the strategy, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications and services for our client projects
Ensure optimal performance, scalability, security, and reliability of all applications
Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance for application development and management
Developing plans and delivering results in a fast-changing business environment ensuring that our clients are consistently delighted with the post-sales delivery experience
Manage budgets, relationships, and contracts related to application software and services
Collaborate with business leaders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver value-driven solutions
Mentor and develop a high-performing team of application and project managers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
15+ years of experience of technical leadership, including application development, management, and delivery
Prior experience leading a team of 50+ (or more)
Proven experience leading enterprise application teams, projects, and project managers, delivering large-scale initiatives
Experience in business development, client engagement, and building strategic client relationships
Experience with resource allocation/utilization
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and IT service delivery metrics
Demonstrated ability to align technology initiatives with business strategy
Solid understanding of industry development best practices
Technical expertise across application platforms and architectures
Highly self-motivated, flexible, adaptable, with a strong technical aptitude
Strategic thinking and business acumen
Project and program management
Team leadership and talent development
Client engagement and business development
Superior interpersonal and relationship-development skills
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Performance management for team members
Lead by example, and have a strong ability to inspire and motivate the team to success
Business Travel as required (up to 30%)
Preferred
Expertise with IBM i and the IBM ecosystem is ideal
Master's degree in business, computer science, or equivalent technical experience
Previous experience at a leading consulting organization
