Responsibilities
Adjunct Instructors will be utilized to assist or augment full-time General Instructors, Specialized Instructors, and Drive Instructors
Adjunct Instructors will be utilized only when assistance is needed to achieve the total number of personnel required to support OST training and activities
Adjunct Instructors will also be subject to strenuous training activities that require a high degree of physical fitness that allows the individual to work in a broad range of training environments and conditions
Qualification
Required
Current DOE L or DoD Secret security clearance
Tractor Trailer Drive training with a minimum of three years of experience driving with a CDL and no preventable accidents
Close Quarters Battle (CQB)
Live-Fire Shoot House Operations
Scoped Precision Rifles
Urban Warfare
Vehicle Assault Operations
Shotgun and Mechanical Tactical Entry Techniques
Explosive Tactical Entry Techniques
Firearms (Handgun, Rifle)
Grenade Launcher
Small Unit Tactics
Law Enforcement Experience

DOE approved Live Fire Shoot House (LFSH) Instructor Certification
Basic Instructor Training (BIT) – Certification through DOE or FLETC
Certification in Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
Firearms Instructor Certification (FIC) – Certification through DOE or FLETC
FLETC or DHS-recognized Tactical Explosive Entry Course
Law Enforcement Control Tactics (LECT) (FLETC) for the General Instructors, Type I assigned
