Admissions Clinician - Full Time
Penn Medicine is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to patients and is seeking an Admissions Clinician to facilitate patient access to clinical services. The role involves telephonic screening, triage, and documentation to support the admissions process for patients in the Princeton House system.

Responsibilities
Perform telephonic clinical screening and triage services for patients seeking treatment
Seek clinical supervision from appropriate clinical personnel for all cases triaged as Urgent
Document all demographic, clinical and insurance information in accordance with Princeton House policies and procedures
Assign patients to face-to-face evaluation appointments according to patients’ individualized clinical needs
Communicate need for benefits to be verified with Verification Specialists for treatment and assist with communication to patient when needed
According to the specific requirements of the particular site, may orient patients to the program and may assist patients with registration paperwork
Document and maintain relevant intake, referral and admissions data within the Princeton House SQL database
Support customer service and performance improvement goals of the department collaborate with other caregivers / staff, within and outside the department, to develop means of enhancing patient care and service
Maintain standards of confidentiality
Possess the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet patients’ physical, psychological and social needs of those patient populations served within the department
Participate in unit compliance as related to established standards
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Facilitate positive working team relationships and communication across the Princeton House continuum, Princeton Healthcare System and for all external customers
Act as a liaison between Administrative staff, UM and Verification department to insure proper and timely insurance verifications, accurate and up to date benefit and clinical information
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
Education Specialization: Social Sciences Equivalent Experience
0-1 years
2+ years Two years experience in crisis and/or clinical setting
Preferred
Some previous experience with behavioral health patients is a plus, but will train
