Project Manager I
Hill International is seeking a Project Manager I, focusing on education facilities in the Broward County, Florida area. The role involves coordinating design and construction activities, ensuring compliance with standards, and managing project documentation and communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Coordinate design, construction, and closeout activities for assigned projects
Ensure compliance with SBBC standards, SREF, and applicable codes
Track project progress against approved schedule and budget; identify and resolve variances
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and maintain accurate documentation
Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and leadership
Facilitate communication between architects, engineers, contractors, and district staff
Monitor contractor performance and enforce contract requirements
Support procurement activities and review pay applications for accuracy
Ensure timely completion of punch lists and warranty documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Associate's degree may be considered with additional experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, architecture, or engineering in Education facilities
Experience managing design and construction phases for commercial or educational facilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to analyze schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
Familiarity with SREF, Florida Building Code, and SBBC standards
Understanding of contract administration and quality control practices
Strong communication and organizational skills for managing multiple stakeholders
Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and presentations
Frequent site visits to active construction projects
Ability to work in both office and field environments
Preferred
PMP Certification or LEED Accreditation
Proficiency in construction management software (e-Builder/Trimble Unity Construct, Primavera P6, Bluebeam)
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
