Assistant General Counsel - Legal - FT- Days - MHS

Responsibilities

Serves as a liaison between the Legal Department and management, outside counsel, governmental/regulatory agencies and/or others as requested by the Legal Department
Negotiates with outside parties on legal disputes, including settlements
Provides support and assistance in developing and writing Standard Practices and policies
Provides legal advice and counsel to clinical and business units in diverse matters affecting the day-to-day activities of the organization
Investigates and develops solutions to legal issues and reviews/revises basic projects/contracts, as assigned
Continually evaluates changes in laws and regulations, communicates those changes to business stakeholders and drafts policy changes, as required
Conducts research and drafts legal opinions or contracts, collaborating with other counsel as required
Attends meetings representing the Legal Department and identifies issues related to subject matters discussed
May monitor and manage outside counsel and outside legal budgets on assigned matters
Participates in various legal projects

Required

Doctorate: Doctor of Jurisprudence (Required)
State Bar License (STATE BAR) - State of Florida (FL)

outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong work ethic and high level of integrity and ethics
detail-orientation
the ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action quickly
a skill set that includes the ability to take initiative, think critically, and solve problems
No Minimum work experience
Strong personal initiative, work ethic and problem-solving abilities
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Accredited law school
