Responsibilities

Oversee a team of 20 non-exempt engineering technicians, ensuring alignment with program and engineering requirements
Collaborate with engineers and programs to understand measurement needs and ensure accurate execution
Manage staffing, budgeting, estimating, and risk assessment while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
Foster a safe work environment and ensure compliance within the team
Identify opportunities to improve laboratory operations
Work with Capital to acquire new equipment for enhanced capabilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered
Minimum of 10 years experience in instrumentation or engineering testing required, preferably within the aerospace industry
Experience in flight testing or component testing of aircraft and/or related testing systems
Must understand Instrumentation Lab processes including strain gages, sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, controls systems, and/or calibration
Ability to work well with others in a leadership role achieving successful outcomes for our programs
Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities and decision-making skills
Experience with budgeting, estimating, capital projects, and inventory
