Responsibilities
Provide nursing support at GNR’s SURGE Sexual Health clinic
Work collaboratively with STI and HIV Prevention programs to provide holistic disease control and prevention services
Work collaboratively with the clinical team including MAs, Lab Techs, NPs, RNs, and physicians to prioritize the provision of care for a diverse patient population
Ensure excellence in customer service and the provision of culturally competent care
Meet overall operational and programmatic needs
Perform full health assessments for STI and PrEP patients
Obtain appropriate clinical specimens
Perform phlebotomy
Administer/prescribe treatment under protocol
Provide prevention education
Perform other duties as assigned to meet programmatic and clinical needs
Provide clinical care provision at community based events on nights and weekends in conjunction with Prevention team staff
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire
Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license
CPR certification
A copy of your nursing degree (Bachelors/Associates) transcript must be attached with this application
Your GA nursing license must be attached with this application
CPR certification must be attached with this application
Applicants must submit their 3 year MVR (driving record) with this application as an attachment
Preferred
Experience working in Public Health
1 or more years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
Experience working in an infectious disease clinic and/or with STIs/HIV
Experience performing HIV/STD prevention outreach activities or counseling
Experience with PrEP
