Test Lab Technician

Midcon Cables Company is a leading provider of cabling and wire interconnect solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. They are seeking a Test Lab Technician to ensure timely development and proofing of test cables and programs, while also diagnosing testing malfunctions and compiling data for analysis.

Responsibilities

Ensure that test cables are built and the test program has been developed and proofed on-time per the milestone

Build test cables which may require soldering and/or crimping

Analyze and provide knowledgeable responses and instructions to address electrical testing anomalies to Quality testers and Manufacturing

Diagnose testing malfunctions and make the necessary corrections to the test programs and/or test cables

Compile testing data and prepare reports for Midcon and/or customer analysis

Read and interpret customer drawings and schematics for the purpose of providing a wire list for test cables and for test programming

Maintain good people and communication skills for strong working relationships with the inspector team, Quality and Manufacturing Engineers, production floor personnel and customers

Attend work regularly and be willing to work overtime as required

Be cross-trained to inspect multiple assemblies across multiple programs

Utilize good computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Excel/Word as well as the ability to learn new software programs
