They are seeking a Project Engineer to complete and oversee various professional engineering assignments related to designing pump systems, pipelines, and treatment plants for wastewater management, as well as flood control and fresh water supply systems.

Responsibilities
Complete studies, reports, and investigations of water, wastewater, and drainage issues based upon needs and desires of clients
Review plans for compliance with local, state, federal and industry standards
Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
Complete work in such a way as to maintain project schedules and costs
Develop plans, specifications and probable opinion of construction cost estimates for water, wastewater and drainage projects
Assist in or complete water, wastewater and drainage design and layout activities including erosion control and water quality maintenance
Complete design calculation utilizing spreadsheets and computer-based design software
Complete computer modeling for water distribution, wastewater collection and drainage systems
Explore alternative construction or operating methods that could be used to save costs
Attend client meetings
Monitor and observe daily construction activities on civil engineering projects
Coordinate and complete construction administration activities
Perform drafting tasks, as assigned, to meet deliverable schedules
Prepare permit applications relative to water, wastewater, and drainage facilities
Perform field inspection and investigation
Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner
Remain updated on current professional practices and maintain a high awareness of new products and procedures in industry by monitoring trade publications and actively participating in professional associations
Comply with all company policies including safety policies
Perform other duties as required
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in civil engineering or related field
EIT Certification
Sufficient experience and proper competency to serve project engineering client needs
Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Engineering Software Requirements Specific to Water Resources, such as but not limited to, WaterCAD/Gems, SewerCAD/Gems, ArcGIS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to provide practical and results oriented technical solutions for projects
Ability to contribute positively in an overall team environment
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana
Licensure in additional states may be required
