Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to work on next-generation, legacy and new product development projects, directly contributing to the advancement of aviation technology in the Airborne Traffic, Collision Avoidance & Surveillance Avionics space
Take ownership for hardware systems development at every aspect of the systems life cycle
Develop and improve engineering practices to ensure all hardware and system components meet our rigorous quality standards
Standards application and improvements
Lead engineering teams and customer discussions to ensure cohesive development efforts and a shared understanding of system requirements
Project management
Oversight of Hardware Qualification testing
Review process and product quality

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Hardware development, electrical or System Engineering
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

Preferred

Deep understanding of a variety of hardware engineering standards and specifications (especially DO-254 and DO-160 is of value)
Experience in similar product domains is a PLUS i.e. Avionics, Navigation and/or Integrated Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT)
Experience with providing engineering estimations for new developments
Expert knowledge of product and process technologies OR broad knowledge of multiple product and process technologies
Familiar with FAA certification processes is of value
Experience with resolving factory related issues and customer returns
Experience with oversight of Hardware Qualification testing
Ability to communicate project status and technical concepts with Management and Customers
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Ability to consistently demonstrate business impact and continuous drive for improvement
Ability to influence customers and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes
Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
