Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret commercial and residential property and general liability insurance policies
Draft detailed and well-reasoned coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters
Advise insurers and clients on coverage obligations and potential exposure
Handle and manage coverage litigation from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, including depositions and hearings
Stay current on relevant legal developments, case law, and regulatory changes affecting property and liability coverage
Collaborate with claims professionals, risk managers, and other attorneys within the firm or insurance companies
Participate in internal training and external client presentations on insurance coverage issues
Qualification
Required
Admitted to practice law
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and client-relations skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Preferred
Experience in litigation management and courtroom proceedings preferred
