Start in 2026 SummerColorado Legal Services (CLS) is a statewide nonprofit legal aid program that provides civil legal assistance to low-income Coloradans. The Farm Worker Rights Division is seeking summer interns to advocate for the rights of low-wage farm workers, conduct outreach, and support attorneys with legal research and writing.

Responsibilities
Conduct outreach to farm workers at labor camps and other locations
Work with clients and potential clients on a variety of legal issues
Travel throughout the rural areas of their respective regions to visit farm workers and conduct outreach at labor camps
Collaborate with key partners in the region
Ensure workers have information about their rights and the services that the FWRD provides
Utilize legal research and writing skills to support the attorneys with ongoing federal litigation involving claims arising under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, the Federal Labor Standards Act, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, Colorado wage laws and more
Qualification
Required
Students who have a minimum of ten weeks to commit are encouraged to apply
Students must have dedication and sensitivity to serving the legal needs of low-wage individuals, including farm workers
Students must have a valid driver's license
Students must have a reliable car
Students must be willing to work at night and travel within Colorado
Spanish speaking is required (approximately 60% of interns' time is spent conversing in Spanish)
