The selected contractor will oversee project management, provide engineering support, and coordinate field activities to ensure efficient project execution.

Responsibilities

Oversee external engineering contractors and ensure all deliverables meet required standards
Manage incoming project requests, establish priorities, and initiate project workflows
Track progress, resolve issues, and maintain momentum on multiple concurrent projects
Provide technical input and engineering review for substation-related work
Ensure designs follow applicable utility standards and industry practices
Support multi-disciplinary engineering activities across various substation project types
Serve as an on-site engineering representative during field activities
Communicate clearly with contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders
Participate in meetings and field visits with confidence and professionalism

Required

Hands-on experience in substation engineering within a utility or power delivery environment
Experience managing contractors and supporting project intake and execution

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal oversight

Preferred

Experience working with large utilities or familiarity with utility-specific standards
Natural leadership ability and comfort taking ownership of complex projects
Strong collaboration skills and ability to fit into a cohesive, high-performing team
