Responsibilities

Prepare all levels of tax returns – simple to complex

Respond to tax notices

Work with our advisory team on tax analysis and tax planning implementation

Work directly with clients

Find and implement opportunities for process improvement as necessary

Keep up on current tax law and changes and communicate with investment advisory team

Mentor and work with our tax team

Required

8+ years of experience in tax preparation; CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Taxation, or Finance

Handle client inquiries and concerns with efficiency and professionalism, contributing to repeat business and positive feedback

Follow ethical standards in decision-making and completes work with diligence and reliability

Strong background in preparing 1040 returns; small business and trust returns

Proactively tackle tasks and find effective solutions without requiring close supervision

Interact effectively with office staff and work well in team settings while contributing to shared goals

Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines through effective planning and organization
