Onsite Tavern Coordinator (Del Webb Orlando)

Responsibilities
The Tavern Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of tavern operations. This includes menu, inventory, ordering, special event planning/execution, order/billing system accuracy, budgeting, and management of liquor, media (ASCAP) and seating licenses
The La Tapenda Tavern is staffed by volunteers (cooks and bartenders) to keep costs down. This team of volunteers is coordinated by the La Tapenade Tavern Committee. The Tavern Coordinator must work with the Committee to ensure shifts are covered and must perform bartending and cooking duties as needed
Develop staffing plans that minimize overtime expenses by planning and scheduling, in advance, recurring work tasks assigned to staff who are on off-shifts and/or split shifts
Describe the training and improvement program that will be provided to employees assigned to DWO
Develop operating plans and strategies that ensure resources are always available to properly support or respond to the scale and technical complexity of the building systems, equipment, events, and/or occurrences
Designate a certified safety officer to coordinate all regulatory, building code, fire, and safety requirements and develop, implement, maintain, and communicate to the HOA the following:
An effective program supporting all OSHA regulations, regulatory reporting requirements and safety-related training requirements
MSDS documentation for all chemicals used by all employees, contractors, and subcontractors performing work on DWO property
Correspond with and be the point of contact for regulatory agency inspections/visits
Analyze hazards, perform accident investigations, lead safety audits, ensure product safety, and comply with environmental laws
Employees must be customer-service oriented and positively and politely interact with residents and the public when performing contract services. All employees must at all times present a neat and clean appearance, be courteous, efficient, and committed to offering the highest degree of service to residents, guests, and visitors at all times
Provide overall leadership and strategic oversight to initiative management , structure, approach, and reporting for entire food & beverage operations
Develop and drive planning of new opportunities
Direct budgeting process and daily management of budgets, analyzing fluctuations, and instituting changes/enhancements as necessary with Board approval
Responsible for strategic planning, financial analysis and planning, budgets, inventory control, sanitation and safety, training and development, staffing, and employee relations
Collaborates with team to develop appetizing menus for dining service and all events
Works with team member(s) in connection with event planning
Manage initial and ongoing relationships with vendors
Ability to utilize POS system (TouchBistro) and inventory software systems
Lead and oversee daily operation of the Food & Beverage business with a focus on staffing, revenue and margin generation, controls, and performance
Responsible for the overall Member experience, communication of goals and expectations, and ensuring operating and safety standards are maintained
Interact with Team Members and drive development of the team through continuous training and role modeling
Monitor equipment and infrastructure needs to generate growth
Responsible for adherence and interaction with applicable regulatory agencies and requirements
Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner
Responsible for adherence to the governing documents, guidelines, rules, and regulations of the community and be the Manager on Duty (MOD) after standard HOA business hours
Facilitates quick and efficient communication between front and back of house team members
Partners with the Community Manager/Lifestyle Director to identify, coordinate and market all community events, programs, and services
Prepares and submits operations’ reports and other documentation requested by the Board of Directors
Qualification
Required
Possess both liquor and food certifications as required by the State of Florida
