Sr Analyst, Compliance
Xpanse is a company focused on compliance in the fintech sector, and they are seeking a Senior Analyst, Compliance to support their compliance program. This role involves monitoring and reviewing business practices to ensure adherence to regulations, collaborating with teams to embed compliance into solutions, and conducting compliance reviews and risk assessments.

Responsibilities
Research, interpret, and apply federal and state mortgage, lending, and consumer protection regulations (e.g., CFPB, TILA, RESPA, ECOA, FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP)
Ensure products, services, and processes comply with applicable investor and agency guidelines (e.g., FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, Banks)
Monitor changes in regulatory and investor guidelines
Support internal and external regulatory examinations
Partner with product and engineering teams to embed compliance into platform features and workflows
Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance is integrated into external solutions
Conduct compliance reviews of business processes, system workflows, and third-party integrations
Assist with risk assessments and control testing; document findings and recommend corrective actions
Assist in drafting, maintaining, and communicating compliance policies and procedures
Provide guidance to business, operations, and technology teams on compliance requirements
Monitor compliance with data handling, retention, and privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GLBA, state privacy laws)
Work with engineering and product teams to identify and mitigate risks related to consumer PII/NPPI use
Track, escalate, and support remediation of identified compliance issues
Assist in preparing reports for management, regulators, and auditors
Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualification
Required
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into business-friendly guidance
Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced fintech environment
Commitment to upholding ethical standards and protecting consumers
Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University
8+ years of experience in mortgage compliance, audit, risk management, or operations required
Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations and consumer protection laws
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with legal, product, engineering, and operations teams
Preferred
Familiarity with fintech products, SaaS platforms, or financial technology solutions a plus
