Family Asset Building Coordinator
MAAC is a nonprofit organization focused on maximizing self-sufficiency for families and individuals through various programs. The Family Asset Building Coordinator will oversee financial empowerment services, supervise staff, and provide direct support to participants in navigating financial tools and resources.

Responsibilities
Supervise Family Asset Building Specialists, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
Monitor case documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program standards
Support onboarding and training of new staff and volunteers
Facilitate regular team check-ins and contribute to a collaborative work environment
Provide advanced financial coaching and case management to participants with complex needs
Assist participants in navigating electric vehicle rebate programs, including eligibility screening, document collection, and loan readiness assessments
Refer participants to appropriate financial education and coaching services when needed
Support participants in accessing credit-building loans, affordable financial products, and income supports
Support planning and coordination of seasonal initiatives and events (e.g., Financial Literacy Month, VITA outreach)
Assist with volunteer coordination and engagement in financial empowerment activities
Participate in outreach efforts and represent the program at community events, occasionally during evenings or weekends
Ensure timely and accurate data entry in systems such as Salesforce, TaxSlayer, and Quickbase
Provide participant-level data and program updates to the Program Manager
Assist in preparing internal reports and summaries for grant tracking and evaluation
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or higher in social services, business, education, or a related field AND
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial coaching, case management, or community-based programming, including one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience
Knowledge of financial coaching and asset-building strategies
Knowledge of case management principles and participant engagement techniques
Knowledge of electric vehicle rebate programs and financial product navigation
Knowledge of grant-funded program operations and reporting requirements
Knowledge of digital tools and case management systems (e.g., Salesforce, TaxSlayer, Quickbase)
Knowledge of culturally responsive service delivery and community-based outreach
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; and CRMs, especially Salesforce
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to supervise and support staff in a collaborative and inclusive manner
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Commitment to advancing economic mobility and service to underrepresented communities
Ability to engage respectfully with individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds
Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for outreach and seasonal events
Must have a physical examination, TB clearance and a drug screen by a doctor/clinic designated by MAAC as well as immunization records for influenza, pertussis and measles as required by state and federal regulations prior to the first day of employment
Must have and maintain a valid California Driver's License, daily use of a personal, insured vehicle, and have and maintain a motor vehicle driving record acceptable to MAAC's insurance carrier
