Responsibilities

Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles in solid waste and related fields such as landfill operations, landfill gas collection and control system, industrial wastewater, and stormwater permitting and design, including overseeing the preparation of construction plans, specifications, and construction documents

Provide technical guidance on unusual or complex engineering, operations, and regulatory challenges

Complete quality control reviews on all work products (reports, design plans, design calculations, data, etc.) prior to submission

Coordinate with GIS and CAD drafters for design plans/figures or use AutoCAD or ArcGIS for basic design plans/figures

Business development including but not limited to: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows

Work both independently and on teams to resolve engineering challenges, plan and coordinate work, and represent SCS at meetings, trade shows, and conferences

Responsible for achieving set revenue, profit, and client satisfaction goals

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering degree is required

P.E. or P.G. registration required (preferably Florida) or ability to obtain reciprocity in Florida within 6 months

A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience specific to the solid waste industry such as landfill gas management, air compliance, landfill design and permitting, landfill operations support, or compost facility operations is required

A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience required

Experience managing project financials and leading technical teams

Knowledge of applicable regulations, regulatory agencies, and permitting requirements

Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing is required
