Responsibilities

Design end-to-end solutions that integrate various healthcare systems, applications, and data sources to improve operational efficiency and patient care
Collaborate with stakeholders to define the strategic vision and roadmap for healthcare technology initiatives, aligning them with business objectives and industry trends
Lead the architectural design process, from initial concept to detailed specifications and implementation plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements
Leadership -- mentor/guide a team of healthcare solutions architects, providing coaching and support to enhance their skills and capabilities
Define and document enterprise solution architecture principles, standards, and guidelines, and ensure their adoption across all IT projects and initiatives, and alignment with the governance process
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in healthcare technology by evaluating emerging trends, tools, and methodologies, and incorporating them into solution designs
Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HL7, DICOM, and FHIR, and ensure compliance in all solutions
Engage with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and 3rd party agencies, to understand their requirements and provide strategic guidance on technology solutions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
Minimum 10 years in a related IT or Engineering discipline
Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience architecting solutions using cloud-native services
Strong understanding of HL7 and FHIR interoperability standards and protocols, with experience integrating disparate healthcare systems and data sources
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges

Preferred

Experience with Insight Research Administration System
Experience with other Research Administration applications such as Huron Research Suite, OnCore, Cayuse, Kuali, InfoEd Global, ERA Commons
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, HL7 FHIR Proficiency)
