Advantech GSE Inc. is seeking a Data Cloud Engineer with expertise in cloud-based data architecture, security compliance, and analytics to support the DISA NEXUS program at Fort Meade. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and secure cloud-enabled data solutions within Azure and AWS, leveraging best practices in data management, automation, and DoD compliance.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes across Azure and AWS cloud platforms

Develop and optimize data models, data lakes, and data warehouses to support mission analytics and reporting

Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple systems into centralized, secure repositories

Collaborate with cloud and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD STIGs, RMF, and FedRAMP standards

Implement and enforce data governance, integrity, and access controls across the cloud data environment

Work extensively with Oracle databases, including data extraction, transformation, and migration into cloud environments

Utilize tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Databricks, SQL, and Power BI for data orchestration and analytics

Monitor and enhance data performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability

Support ongoing cloud modernization efforts and provide technical expertise for data-driven decision-making

Required

Active Secret Clearance (required)

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field

5+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or cloud data solutions

Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud data services (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Synapse, etc.)

Strong SQL and Python skills for data manipulation and automation
