Responsibilities
Supervises workflow and technical staff in execution of Laboratory testing, in support of regulatory and quality system compliance to meet Customer specifications. 50-70%
Mentors and develops staff for future opportunities 10-20%
Provides regular feedback to staff on performance. 10%
Identifies and executes operational opportunities for improvement to efficiency, quality and/or cost. 10%
Works with Customers to develop technical methods and communicates overall timelines of projects, delivery of laboratory services, and technical details of the testing. 10%
Initiates and executes Quality System Investigations, Customer Dissatisfactions and Corrective actions as required by procedure. 10%
This position may require the use of equipment and / or power tools, as applicable
This position may require the incumbent to obtain their boilers license, as applicable
Contributes in a team effort by performing in accordance to all STERIS policies, GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher-level management and performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A scientific bachelor's degree
Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role
