Responsibilities

Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) by performing peer reviews, QAQC on projects prior to submission, and coordinating with supervisor or electrical department leader

Prepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets for approval

Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects

Participates in formulating and coordinating proposals and provides other Marketing support, including Business Development

Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives

Assist in verifying that all design aspects comply with local code and apply code provision

Collaborate with other disciplines to provide a coordinated design

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering required

12-15+ years electrical engineering design experience is required of building electrical systems

A licensed engineer in Michigan is required

Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards

Proficient in Revit, AGI Lighting, and power studies (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP) software skills

Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as Switchgear, transformers, panelboards, generators, grounding, etc

Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and contractors to provide a coordinated design

Experience leading mid-sized and large projects

Willing to travel to client locations, as needed

Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
