Responsibilities
Answers telephone in professional manner and routes calls as appropriate
Handles complaints in a courteous and professional manner
Assumes responsibility for incoming mail opening and distribution
Attends and records departmental or medical staff meetings as assigned
Maintains current and accurate filing system
Makes appointments and schedules individuals meetings as requested
Completes tasks assigned by immediate supervisors in a timely manner
Keeps an open line of communication with other Administrative Secretaries, Department Managers, Physicians, and Administrative Officers
Maintains strict confidentiality regarding Administrative activities, patients and employees according to policy and procedures
Qualification
Required
One year of clerical in an office setting
High School graduate
Preferred
One year of clerical in a medical environment
Formal medical terminology course
