Civil/Survey Engineering Intern
Colliers Engineering & Design is a trusted provider of multi-discipline engineering, design and consulting services. They are seeking motivated students for a Civil/Survey Engineering Intern position, where interns will assist technical staff with projects, work with Autodesk Civil 3D, and gain real-life experience in consulting while networking with professionals in the field.

Responsibilities
Assist technical staff on day-to-day projects in their respective discipline
Transform field collected electronic files into Autodesk Civil 3D (CAD) produced drawings
Work with more senior staff to produce SUE, ALTA, Boundary, Topographic Surveys, As-Built drawings, maps, Specific Purpose Surveys, Plot plans and Subdivision Record
Plats by using Autodesk Civil 3D (CAD)
Will also work in the field on control, topographic surveys, and pipeline surveys as Instrument Man of a one, two or three-person field crew
May also perform some office duties, including data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey computer programs and AutoCAD
Performs mathematical calculations and field checking of field data
Reads and understands plans and specifications
Work alongside junior and senior level engineers to execute project deadlines
Network with current Colliers Engineering & Design professionals and gain real-life experience in consulting

Qualification
Required
Interested or currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Land Surveying, Geomatics, CADD, Engineering Technologies
Must have reliable transportation to the office/field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess solid problem-solving skills
Must be able to work in a high-paced environment
Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office
Be able to carry up to forty pounds of equipment up flights of stairs
Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
Preferred
Basic understanding of AutoCAD preferred
Experience with Civil3D a plus
